Dean Christopher took an eight-year absence from acting to pursue a mid-life career return to his roots as a nightclub/cabaret performer. In doing so he has had the opportunity to open for Don Rickles and Frank Sinatra, Jr., as well as perform for international audiences. Dean came back to the stage three years ago in THE GOOD DOCTOR, MOONLIGHT AND LAGNOLIAS, and as Amos Hart in CHICAGO at the Muny in St. Louis, for which he received the critics Theatre Circle award.
His favorite theatre roles include Herbie in GYPSEY, Motel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Nathan Detroit in GUYS AND DOLLS, and the title roles in BARNUM and PHANTOM. Dean has also been seen on daytime soaps ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ALL MY CHILDRE, and ANOTHER WORLD, as well as the role of Buddy Ross in the film AMATUER HOUR.
